SEC shares info with CBI on scam probe

A three-member team of United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) exchanged information with CBI, which is probing the multi-crore accounting scam at Satyam Computers here. - NEWSALERT: Bajaj Hindusthan to raise Rs 2,000 cr - Area under wheat in Punjab to touch 35.20 lakh hectares - Positive IIP numbers fail to enthuse markets - Posted profit of Rs 71.9 crore - CII-PwC study sees 10 % auto market for Bengal by "22 - GE to sell security unit to United Technologies As part of co-ordination in the Satyam case probe, the SEC team was in the state capital for the past two days and shared information about the progress made in investigations after meeting senior CBI officials, who are probing the Satyam fraud, reliable sources said today. “We exchanged information with regard to progress made from our side about investigations into the Satyam case and they also shared their information gathered in US,” a senior CBI official said. The SEC team also sought additional information from CBI about the role of two arrested auditors of Pricewaterhouse in the Satyam scam, who are currently in judicial remand, the official said.
