Lloyds Steel Q3 turns profitable

Lloyds Steel Industries has posted a net profit of Rs 39.16 crore for the quarter ended December compared with a loss of Rs 113.84 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. The earning per share stood at Rs 1.85. The company’s revenues from the steel product category rose to RS 537.54 crore from Rs 390.68 crore last year. On the other hand, its revenues in the engineering product category stood at Rs 114.57 crore from Rs 47.44 crore. On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company’s stocks closed strong on Monday at Rs 12.15, up 4.92 per cent.
